I went to school and played basketball with Darryl back in the NABC days. One year we had a tremendous team with Roger Heringer, Gordon Stork, Rick and Randy Foster, Paul and Daryl, and, of course, myself. I remember Daryl as friendly (even to a guy from the new dorm!) and easy to connect with, but always a relentless worker. I recently reconnected with Rick Foster and heard of Darrylâ??s love for Jesus and tremendous work at Crystal Springs. I just now learned of his passing. Thank you for posting your journey on the update page â?¦ a genuine model of living Godâ??s grace in finishing well. As a principal at a Christian school, I have one of my teachers walking a similar path. May your family find Godâ??s presence your continued sustenance. Please give my regards to Gord and Paul when you see them. Ron Ross

Dear Amy, Steve & Julia, Bryan, Trevor and Aaron, My prayer for you today is God's grace to sustain you, His love to overwhelm you, His comfort to envelop you and His peace to constantly flood you minds and hearts. We are continuing to keep you in our prayers as a family. For Maxine, Rachel, Caleb and Noah, Paul

Dear Amy and family, I didn't know Darryl, but I know of him and all the work and love he poured into Crystal Springs and the kids that attend there. It's obvious from your family pictures that he also poured his love into his family. Our prayers will continue to be with you and your family as you continue to live your lives here on earth, while Darryl lives his in heaven. Thank God for the assurance that we have that we will see our loved ones again who have also accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Blessings to you as you grieve his absence in your lives. Darla

Thank you so much for this page and the healing it promotes. If I may, use my cousin LeAnn and Larry Elmer's sentiments. Godspeed. Frederick

Tomorrow will be a week since the worship service honoring God's work in and through Darryl and your family. We continue to pray that God will sustain the family as they journey daily and that your story will declare His story ... He is faithful in this. This week alone I have had numerous opportunities to share of God's grace and goodness in the valley of the shadow and mountain tops as I have shared God's work in your lives. One step at a time with each other for His glory. I visit this sight regularly to see the pictures and to thank God for His work in our lives ... even when difficult, when I don't always have answers and in all ways trusting and placing my faith in God who is Sovereign and glorious. We love you and are upholding you before our Lord. One step at a time in Him ... with love because He taught us how to love.
